Beginning this weekend and over the next couple of weekends, you can chicken dance the night away to your favorite oompah bands during Leavenworth's annual Oktoberfest celebrations.
Washington's beloved Bavarian village (OK, Washington's only Bavarian village), breaks out the lederhosen and glass boot steins today and Saturday, as well as Oct. 10-11 and Oct. 17-18.
The fest features live music, German food and beer, and arts and crafts vendors. Each Saturday of the fest starts at noon with a Bavarian parade, followed by the keg tapping ceremony (a Bavarian tradition) at 1 p.m.
