Lola Mae Pickett

Lola Mae Pickett, 88, of Yakima died Friday.

Mrs. Pickett was born in Henrietta, Okla.

Survivors include two daughters, Pat Boyd of Puyallup, Wash., and Othella Heilman of Yakima; a son, Darryl Filarski of Michigan; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. Burial will follow in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

 

Dr. Ronald R. Riehl

Dr. Ronald R. Riehl, 71, of Yakima died Monday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Riehl was born in Walla Walla, Wash. He was a dentist for 40 years.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Riehl; a son, Dr. Doran Riehl; a daughter, Cindy Hargreaves, all of Yakima; two sisters, Doris Randall of Bellingham, Wash., and Lucy Duchemin of Arlington, Ore; a brother, Leonard Reihl of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Terrace Heights Memorial Park, with memorial services following at 11 a.m., at Central Lutheran Church.


Lucy Faye Smith

Lucy Faye Smith, 82, of Yakima died Monday at Highline Regional Hospital in Seattle.

Mrs. Smith was born in Protem, Mo. She worked as a fruit packer.

Survivors include a son, Terry Neal Smith of Yakima; a daughter, Gloria Laverne Gonzales of Zillah; a brother, Kirby Ford of Warren, Ore.; five sisters, Nadine Wandler, Sue Hill and Peggy Meikle, all of Yakima, Marcella Carter of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Barbara Lowrie of Glenoma, Wash.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

 

W.C. 'Chuck' Stinehart

W.C. "Chuck" Stinehart, 76, of Toppenish died Monday at home.

Mr. Stinehart was born in Akron, Iowa, and moved to the Yakima Valley during the depression. He worked for Cal-Pac, Stadelmans, Stokeleys, and R.H. Bowles before going into business for himself, covering pool tables for 24 years in the valley.

At his request, no services will be held.

Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Foster Tillett

Foster Tillett, 84, of Yakima died Saturday.

Mr. Tillett was born in Omaha, Neb., and served in the Navy. He was employed at Libby's Cannery for many years. He retired from Layman Lumber Co. as a foreman.

Survivors include four sons, Jack Tillett of Selah, Frank Tillett of Gleed, Ted Tillett of Union Gap and Bill Tillett of Yakima; two daughters, Debrah Burton of Yakima and Donna Edgar of Telsor, Ark.; five brothers, Ted Lund of Des Moines, Iowa, Donald Tillett, Robert Tillett and Bruce Tillett of Yakima, and Ronald Tillett of Woodburn, Ore.; a sister, Shirley Bancroft of Great Falls, Mont.; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in West Hills Memorial Park.

 

Mayme Tomlinson

Mayme Tomlinson, 94, of Grandview died Monday in Prosser.

Mrs. Tomlinson was born in Calloway, Neb. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Kay Myers of Grandview and Susan Robb of Kennewick; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church in Grandview, following regular church services. Private burial will be in the Grandview City Cemetery.

Valley Hills Funeral Home of Sunnyside is in charge of arrangements.
