Those who attend the Yakima Valley Chamber Awards on Thursday night will step back into the past.
The theme of this year's event is the Roaring 20s.
During the ceremony, those in attendance will hear a presentation on the history of the Chamber and the community itself, featuring historic photographs. The gathering is a vehicle for the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce to present its annual report.
"(We've) got such an incredible archive. We have stuff back to the 1800s," said Chamber president Mike Morrisette. "There's so much stuff, we barely scratched the surface."
The ceremony will be a mix of information and entertainment, Morrisette said. "So it won't be boring and laborious to attend," he said.
The Chamber will also give out several awards which recognize the achievements of its members. The award winners are chosen by more than 1,000 Chamber members, Morrisette said.
"We're going to be looking at folks that have done extremely well and given a lot," he said. "It sets an example."
Morrisette said he expects more than 300 people to attend.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Yakima Convention Center, 10 N. Eighth St.
