The Credit Union National Association has awarded Rick Patino with the Credit Union Compliance Expert designation.

Patino, an internal auditor with Catholic Credit Union since 2007, earned the designation by attending the organization's Regulatory Compliance School, which covered a variety of issues that ensure understanding of federal regulations regarding savings and lending practices.

 

Nonprofit

The Yakima Schools Foundation has named officers and new directors for its board for 2008-2009. Officers are: Joe Ketterer, assistant administrator, Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center, president; Angela Wentz, accountant, Martin, Holland, & Peterson, vice president; Dave Murray, banking manager, Wheatland Bank, treasurer; Jean Keeler, retired teacher, Yakima School District, secretary; and Kelly Giles, Abbott Pharmaceutical, alternate/secretary.

New directors are Dr. Heidi Robel, naturopathic medicine/ acupuncturist; Stefanie Durand, director of student affairs, Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences; and Moriet Miketa, real estate agent, Prudential Almon Realty.

 

Technology

Microsoft has awarded Evan Belfiglio the Microsoft Certified Professional credential. Belfiglio, of Parsec Computer Corp. in Yakima, earned the credential by passing a certification exam. He has been with the company since June, when he graduated from Central Washington University with a degree in information technology.
