YAKIMA -- Tom Tebb, a 17-year veteran of the state Ecology Department, has been named director of the agency's central region, director Jay Manning announced Thursday.
Tebb, previously head of the Yakima-based region's water resources program, succeeds Derek Sandison.
Sandison recently was named to head a new position dealing with Columbia River programs.
Tebb, a native of the Lower Yakima Valley, will oversee a seven-county region.
