A loud exhaust pipe led to the arrest of a man who had nearly 10 pounds of marijuana in the back seat of his car, Yakima police said.
The 19-year-old suspect was arrested Wednesday night after an officer stopped his car at First Street and East Nob Hill Boulevard because the exhaust was too loud, according to a report filed in Yakima County Superior Court.
The officer smelled marijuana and subsequently found a vacuum cleaner box containing 9.87 pounds of marijuana, the report states.
The suspect was being held on suspicion of possessing marijuana with intent to deliver. He remained Thursday night at the Yakima County jail on $25,000 bail.
